Nuriah is a sport enthusiast since an early age, guiding her to play basket -ball in Germany’s first division for Heidelberg. She relocated to Brussels in 1999, where she managed her dance school for ethnic dance and folklore until 2017, when she started research studies in Dance Science and Education. After completing her MSc in Dance Science and Education in Edinburgh, UK, Nuriah began her doctorate in Dance Education at the University of Canterbury Christ Church in the UK. Having regularly benefited from sports and fitness regimes and motivated by the countless opportunities to make a positive impact in people’s lives, Nuriah became a personal trainer, licensed by EREPS, in 2009. She continued her path as a Pilates teacher, trained by Corpus Studios, Brussels. Since 2011, Nuriah teaches Pilates at various Fitness centers and Pilates studios in and around Brussels and is now working towards becoming a fully certified Corpus Pilates Teacher. After a back surgery in 2016, Nuriah used Pilates to her own rehabilitation and is now a strong advocate for its benefits in back problems. Nuriah’s goal is to help people improve their lives no matter how old or fit they are.
