l'occasion de notre 20e anniversaire, des clients reviennent sur leur parcours avec nous.\n\nLa premi\u00e8re fois que j'ai entendu parler de Kelly et\/ou du Pilates, c'\u00e9tait dans un article d'un magazine pour expatri\u00e9s. C'\u00e9tait \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque lointaine de (je suppose...) 2004 et selon le texte, le Pilates \u00e9tait le nouvel exercice magique qui allait nous sauver de tous les maux du monde moderne et Kelly (souriant sur une photo) en \u00e9tait le proph\u00e8te en l'introduisant \u00e0 Bruxelles.\n\nJ'ai d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d'essayer, par curiosit\u00e9, \"juste une fois\", et surtout parce que son studio (qui n'\u00e9tait pas encore le Corpus Studios \u00e0 l'\u00e9poque) \u00e9tait juste au coin de la rue. Le reste appartient \u00e0 l'histoire : Kelly a chang\u00e9 trois ou quatre fois l'emplacement du studio, \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 elle a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 l'appeler \"Corpus Studios\", il n'est plus au coin de la rue, mais apr\u00e8s toutes ces ann\u00e9es je m'y pr\u00e9sente encore r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement, pour pratiquer le bon exercice avec Big Sister Kelly et ses disciples.\n\nJe ne suis pas s\u00fbre d'avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 sauv\u00e9e de quoi que ce soit, mais mon \"Corpus\" continue \u00e0 se sentir bien, pendant et apr\u00e8s, et c'est le crit\u00e8re principal pour moi lorsqu'il s'agit de juger de mon temps de remise en forme. Je suis un grand fan de la fa\u00e7on dont le travail sur le tapis est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9... il n'y a rien de tel au Royaume-Uni... d'apr\u00e8s ce que j'ai vu, la m\u00e9thode d'exercice est beaucoup plus douce et relaxante et j'aime l'approche plus puissante... apr\u00e8s avoir compar\u00e9 les notes avec d'autres, je consid\u00e8re que l'approche de Kelly s'apparente au yoga en tant que discipline plut\u00f4t qu'\u00e0 un cours d'appoint car elle me rappelle la fa\u00e7on dont le ballet est enseign\u00e9, comme une construction pour produire un r\u00e9sultat contr\u00f4l\u00e9 et non une \"solution\" rapide... Je suis un grand admirateur de ce concept et de cette approche..... L'initiation au Pilates que j'ai re\u00e7ue a \u00e9t\u00e9 une v\u00e9ritable r\u00e9v\u00e9lation. Je me suis vraiment lanc\u00e9, j'\u00e9tais \u00e9puis\u00e9 apr\u00e8s le cours mais au lieu d'avoir des probl\u00e8mes de dos, mon dos \u00e9tait \"\u00e9trangement\" stable et est rest\u00e9 ainsi pendant quelques jours. Aujourd'hui, trois ans plus tard, mon dos est stable, mais flexible. Bien s\u00fbr, ma blessure est toujours l\u00e0, mais elle ne m'emp\u00eache plus de vivre.\n\nL'accent mis par le Pilates sur la puissance et la conscience du mouvement ressemble aux principes de base des arts martiaux. Je n'ai jamais compris pourquoi tant de femmes font du Pilates, c'est d\u00e9finitivement masculin.\n\nSi, avec ses mouvements forts et lin\u00e9aires, le Pilates ressemble au karat\u00e9, la Gyrotonic et la Gyrokinesis ressemblent davantage \u00e0 l'a\u00efkido. Les douleurs dorsales \u00e9taient quelque chose de normal. Les m\u00e9decins m'ont r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9 pendant des ann\u00e9es que je devais travailler \u00e0 renforcer les muscles dorsaux et abdominaux. Mais ils ne m'ont jamais dit comment le faire et comment y parvenir, \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que je ne peux plus plier la colonne vert\u00e9brale.\n\nApr\u00e8s une hernie discale, un ami m'a recommand\u00e9 d'essayer le Pilates. Depuis plus de deux ans, je m'entra\u00eene r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement et, \u00e0 ma grande surprise, je sens qu'il y a \u00e0 nouveau des muscles l\u00e0 o\u00f9 il n'y en avait plus depuis plus de dix ans. Je ressens une certaine stabilit\u00e9 qui n'\u00e9tait pas l\u00e0 avant, beaucoup plus align\u00e9e, droite. En particulier, le concept d'une pens\u00e9e \"ligne centrale\" est une grande chose pour moi.
